I'm not very happy with it. No distinctions at all for this semester. And something went wrong with Web Design assignment 3 I think... it took up 50% of the total grade. Sob sob.
Creative Process.....AIYAH HECK!!!! Stingy lecturer. There wasn't even a single A in our class when some of my classmates churned out really nice works.
GUI and DSNV - two of the modules I dislike most - are Bs! It's as if they're trying to make me feel guilty. -_-
But at least we got a B for Studio Project.... efforts didn't go down the drain.
Argh! Mediocre skills, mediocre grades, mediocre life.

Hoho... This book is a present from Weikit... Came across the book for the first time at the bookstore in Citilink. (Times? MPH?) Anyway we were just standing and browsing though those largish hard cover books, and I told him to buy it for me. As a casual remark.
Wah lao that boy really go buy!! But I like it! Damn interesting. Do you know that there's a cat that has the word 'CAT' in its fur pattern? Creepy....
Also, I finally brought him to Secret Garden! We were the only guests at first. Quite a few changes compared to when I first patronised the place. There were sofas outside and the interior was more classy. But they were preparing for dinnertime's setting which explained the dimmer lights and candles. Coincidentally enough, some of Mediacorp's crew came after a while to do some filming.
Triple Choc cake
It was yummy! I think this photo resembles the blackbean fish that my father cooked earlier on in the afternoon. K nevermind. The cake was freaking nice lah! Teehee. Warm and moist with chocolate syrup.
One interesting thing was that they put mahjong paper over the white tablecloth. It most certainly felt like mahjong paper; can't blame us if it wasn't. And naturally, the white space beckoned us to fill it up, so... we doodled on it. >"<
So sorry... it was irresistible!!!
Later on we caught the movie The 40 Year-old Virgin. Kinda cute but with a terrible ending method. Mwahahaha! Highlight the spoiler here: " PEOPLE DANCING LIKE BOLLYWOOD OMGGG"
I actually went back to check on the official website ( http://www.the40yearoldvirgin.com/). And got soOOoo disappointed. Not with the website, but to know that so many parts were cut off in the version that we watched. Now, when I think back on how the audience laughed and slapped their thighs (okay maybe just me)... I feel so sorry for us. We think we're watching good material, but we have no idea of the real stuff. And that's just sad..
Back to yesterday's 'outing'... Celina and Rina were at Bugis also but I think we no fate!!! Hahaha! Called them a couple of times to meet up but our locations were opposite. Bugis street vs Parco and vice versa. In the end we ended our day out with a miserable meal...... miserable portion with so-so taste.
But somehow, Weikit seemed to enjoy it!
Okay lah, that was just a deliberate ah gua pose. Obvious right??? Hahaha...
Right?
(aww poor thing got basketball injury on his wrist)

The times...
Okay, news were all over the place since last week, but something stopped me from discussing or mentioning it. Probably because I was hoping for denial and cheerful explanation of "Nope!" from the man himself.
And then it came clear that things weren't going to be okay.
Milk, the leader of (once)popular dance group Energy, is leaving. For good.
To become a dance instructor, back to the teaching grounds, where he belongs in the first place.
I don't think Energy is Energy anymore (actually since the 2003 split). The spirit was already not there when the group became four-man... yes, they sorta pulled up their socks and tried to be better, which we emotionally-tormented supporters gladly appreciated.
But...now you're telling me that the only person who upheld the Energy spirit is leaving?
Might as well announce the split.
Come on come on, we fans can take it!
*rolls sleeves*
What's the use of struggling to hold the group together...there's no point at all.
He can veer towards the hosting biz.
And he with the long hair can continue acting as a nurse.
That guy over there can do well with his kickass attitude and singing ability.
What a grrrreat ending.... just like what I've always been dreaming of!! Don't mind my sarcasm...
But Milk will always be the best of the best.
Great dancing, down-to-earth, and fair to his fans, giving more acknowledgement to the pioneer ones too. But I'm not complaining hehe.
Just hope that he will be happy. When he gets married I'll gatecrash the wedding no matter where it's held at!!!! Hahaha!!
However certainly not in Singapore because our conservative land of Fines bans gay weddings. Or any gay festivals, events and parties that apparently go against the public's interest. Erm time to embrace change, Singapore???

Wicked schedule!
Most of the afternoon was spent at Causeway Point with Cheryl, where we bought our swimsuits. Okay so no more excuses for procrastinating exercising. Cost me 50 bucks. Well I hope it doesn't collect dust lah.... now what's left is a pair of good goggles, aka those that don't auto-fill up with water just like how iTunes auto-fill up your MP3 player.
Bought some cute underwear too. Not going to go into details lah, but there was one Halloween series one. So cute lah!
Went home at 6 plus, and saw an email from the person that put his iPod Shuffle up for Yahoo auctions. I had won it this morning... and apparently he was going to the Bukit Batok area later. So we arranged to meet at West Mall. So tired >"<
Anyway I'm very happy with the Shuffle's condition! It's a 512MB one, market price is $178, but I bought it $90! :D
Super tired now... and my bed is full of today's 'harvest'. Hahaha. Think I gonna sweep everything onto the floor to sleep again, HAHAHAHA!

Slim chance of people wanting to sell their MP3 players reading my blog, but I just want to post a notice...
Anyone selling their iPod Shuffle or Creative Muvo (TX and NX types, not slim) MP3 players? Or know anyone who is?
I want to buy one! Not sure whether it's a need or a want, a mix of both because I NEED the thumbdrive function for school, and WANT a better MP3 player.
512MB preferred, outlook wise not important, just don't paste stickers can liao. Haha!
So... please tell me if you are okay! Thanks alot! ^________^
Ironically I'm helping my friend sell his Creative Zen Micro (5GB) at $270. So all you rich people out there can consider buying yah? In good condition, 8 upon 10.
We're watching Corpse Bride tomorrow! Hohohoho! My first outing with DGT since 30th August!! I booked the tickets online just now at Cathay's website. Actually I'm abit surprised that my transaction got through, because I don't remember having enough money in my UOB account (yes I'm that poor). Since debit cards work by letting you spend whatever money you have in your account instead of letting you spend 'future money', by right it should have rejected my transaction. But but. Now it seems that we've gotten our seats without any hassle! :D
3.44am. I better roll off to sleep now.

Wahey! I now have a bluetooth USB adaptor and an abit-outdated infrared adaptor working on my computer!
Both are of this never-heard-before(to me) brand called A1 Pro. Cost me 55 bucks, which is quite reasonable lah, cheapskate even. The infrared works pretty okay, but the bluetooth is having transferring problems. I can't figure out how to transfer files from Xiaodian to my phone! .\/.
Very irritating cos if I use infrared to do all the transferring, I'll have to hold my phone near the adaptor while struggling to click the 'Yes' button on the computer screen using the other hand. Kuku.
But at least my computer looks very high tech now with all the devices all around... puahahaha! Let me act also can mah.
And next would be using my computer to control the lights, turn on the fan, open my wardrode, clean my room...etc......hmmmm.....

Versalator Adventure - An interactive application (mini game)

Colour abit weird here. Indian boy not supposed to be that colour
It's over, it's over!
I no longer have to freeze in the Mac lab!
No more sleepless nights and frothing at the mouth already!!
Studio project screwed up my health so so much. Had grand total of five pimples which appeared at different times. Hey, not those calefare baby pimples. Big red attention grabbing ones >"<
Kept hearing my teammate Jesslyn saying " wo de lian yao lan diao liao..."
Haha...
My hair also dropped more than usual. Felt like I was having terminal illness. But stress also good lah, Auntie never come for this month. So kua zhang!!! Where got such thing one??
Anyway the presentation is over. My group was quite lucky because there weren't any major crashes or bugs when demonstrating the game. However there was once when the Mac lagged for three seconds, and didn't respond to the click.
This lecturer went, " BUG...!"
-_-"
So happy to see errors ah? But too bad lah, it was the mighty Macintosh which the school bought that was the problem...whewww.
We were the last group to present, and when we first presented the poster of our interactive application, one of the lecturers said something like, "finally see something decent".
Thank God for my lucky red underwear....oops.
Miss Pat was one of the assessing lecturers who gave us some suggestions during the past week. We tried our best go with her suggestions, but in the end we didn't manage to complete all the stuff which she advised us to do. I was abit worried that she might think we did not take her words in consideration... No no no! Don't misunderstand!!
The studio project is over. I'm so glad that I'm in 8613! Didn't know that studio project could be fun too. Without my teammates' crappy jokes and positive attitude, I think I would be very miserable (and cold) for the three weeks.
Photo after presentation
Why my arm so thick?! I swear(and hope) it's the angle...(>.<)
I went for dinner at Sakura just now, partly to celebrate the end of turmoil! But it's better avoid there on Fridays and weekends. We were sitting outdoors, and the restaurant inside resembled a canteen. Loud chatter! Kids running around. Having to squeeze through chairs. Seeing food counter's selections snapped up in seconds.
Hohohohohoho I'm a free birdy!!!!!!
Flyyyyyy!
Btw I got 84 marks for a graphical user interface design (GUID) quiz. Freaking unbelievable. But I'll accept it gladly!

Some of the results of my modules are out! They are not compiled for overall grades yet, so they listed the gradings for the assignments.
I actually got a B+ for this Digital Sound N Video module assignment!! Super cock because not much effort was spent. 32 seconds only, just two seconds more than the minimum duration required. Don't say it's because of quality over quantity lah, that video had neither of them. I remember I didn't dare to lift my head up when walking back to my seat after the presentation. Hrmpph.
For the Playdoh claymation(clay animation) music video which I did with Jesslyn, we got a B!!! We are very satisfied because our confidence was so pathetic that we didn't dare to attend the screening of every group's MV in the lecture theatre.
Yup yup! Happy!!
Quite satisfied with my Authoring grades too. CABBAAB!
I got C for the first assignment, when we were newly introduced to the program Macromedia Director. I deserved it lah... my animation was super sucky. Hahaha! See liao want to laugh also.
The last four grades are from four quizzes, three with open reference allowed... I would prefer if there was no open book leh. Because our actual knowledge of scripting will then be reflected mah. However not everyone likes scripting...
I think Alvin is a monster lah! His grades for Authoring are BAAAAAA!!!
Jian gui!!
We also received our grades for Interactive Multimedia, the most redundant module up there with DSNV.
A, D and C.
Hahahaha! I thoroughly deserve it. :)
Overall, just happy that I didn't fail IMM!!!! Because while most of the students went to Choong for feedback, I went ahead with my own idea. But mainly because he was always always busy when I went up to him. Made me wait for umpteen times with no success. And similarly, he is still as busy as ever when our group wanted to ask him something today! But still free enough to monitor the other groups lah. Fishy fishy!

I'm sick of tolerating all the noise in the lab. My MP3 player isn't enough! I actually listened to it till the battery went flat, never mind that I only put about 30 songs inside. Then again, maybe the battery life is pathetic lah.
My point is, I feel like I'm attending a song blasting competition every single fucking day. And then Year 1s intrude the lab armed with their screamo songs too. Sometimes with the Crazy Frog remix. OMG what did we do to deserve this?

Photo taken outside the computer labs. We look so prim and proper in the photo sial! With the lanyards and 'ci xiang' smiles... kakakaka!!!
We initially wanted to take the group photo inside the Mac lab posing with all the illegal stuff (a.k.a food). But considering that the room was like an aquarium with big glass windows all around, we decided not to risk having the Director walk in and seeing us posing happily with Nong Shim prawn crackers and Hello Panda cookies. Yup yup.
Our group blog (which we are supposed to maintain as a daily log) is at http://weare8613.blogspot.com . Feel free to snoop around and see what the hell we're up to! Ha as if it's that interesting...
Btw we have a wonderwoman in 8613! Jesslyn (standing beside me) won $1000 in a recent graphic creativity contest! NYP student! DMD student! Interactive Media student! My classmate! And most importantly, in 8613. PFFFFT!!!!! Why I so happy?? I also don't know, maybe crazy already, I got two pimples, one on forehead one at the mouth area, WAHAHAHAHA
